Alexa Grasso and Manon Fiorot Meet in Flyweight Title Eliminator at Noche UFC

THE FIGHT

Former UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso faces two time title challenger Manon Fiorot in the co-main event of Noche UFC on September 12 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, on the same card as headliner Jean Silva against Jose Miguel Delgado. The three round bout is being billed as a title eliminator, meaning the winner is expected to earn the next crack at reigning champion Valentina Shevchenko.

GRASSO'S ROAD BACK

Grasso's history with the flyweight title runs deep. She stunned Shevchenko in 2023, submitting her with a face crank to become champion. She held onto the belt in a controversial split draw in their rematch, before Shevchenko finally reclaimed it with a dominant unanimous decision win in their trilogy fight.

That loss started a rough stretch for Grasso, who dropped back to back fights before turning things around in dramatic fashion, snapping her losing streak by knocking an opponent out cold in the first round.

FIOROT'S UNFINISHED BUSINESS

Fiorot has her own score to settle. She challenged Shevchenko for the title in May 2025 and came up just short, losing a close unanimous decision. A win over Grasso would put her right back in title contention against the same champion who beat her before.

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Shevchenko has now beaten both Grasso and Fiorot at least once, and both fighters know that beating each other is the clearest path back to a rematch with the champion. For a division that has been defined by Shevchenko's dominance for years, this eliminator could set up the fight that finally dethrones her, or confirm she has no real challengers left.
