Raul Rosas Jr. Stops Raoni Barcelos in Round 5 to Headline UFC Vegas 121

A streak-versus-streak main event
UFC Fight Night returned to the promotion's Apex facility in Las Vegas on Saturday for what fans have been calling "Vegas 121," headlined by a bantamweight matchup between two fighters who both arrived unbeaten in their last five outings: Raul Rosas Jr. and Raoni Barcelos.
The fight went the distance of neither streak's expectations. Rosas Jr. finished Barcelos by knockout just 1:38 into the fifth round, closing out a five-round main event that had gone the vast majority of its scheduled length before ending in violence.
A contentious co-main
The co-main event produced its own storyline. Ailin Perez defeated Norma Dumont by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring it 29-28, but the finish was overshadowed by chaos at the final bell, with security stepping in following what MMA Fighting described as a controversial verdict.
The rest of the main card
Elsewhere on the main card, Luis Hernandez needed just 57 seconds to finish Sedriques Dumas with a standing guillotine submission in round one. Ilimbek Akylbeck Uulu won by disqualification over Mehemmedeli Osmanli at 2:19 of the first round after an illegal knee left Osmanli dazed on the canvas before officials waved the fight off. Tina Black stopped Melissa Amaya by TKO at 3:19 of the second round.
Preliminary card
The night's preliminary bouts saw Brady Hiestand submit Rinya Nakamura in the second round, Rodolfo Vieira take a unanimous decision over Robert Bryczek, Montel Jackson stop Ricky Simon by TKO in round two, and Yazmin Jauregui finish Vanessa Demopoulos by first-round TKO.
With a finish in the main event and a disqualification and a submission elsewhere on the card, Saturday's show delivered on finishes even if not every one of them was clean.
